The 2nd Term Has Begun

So, the 2nd term has begun and pretty much I'm hating it since I'm not good at composition. Also, I learned that I'll be needing Dreamweaver for my web development class. The question is how am I supposed to get any of the stuff I need for school? Everybody kept saying that a college's financial aid department would help me and I have yet to get the necessary help. Now what will I do if I can't even do my classes. And please don't say just use a trial version, because my classes last way longer than 30 days. ^^

(Sorry not trying to be rude I'm just tired of answers that people know will not permanently or truly solve the issue.)

The Pearl Pink Nintendo 3DS, But Limited Edition...

So, I recently found out that someone in financial aid screwed up my paper work to where there are no extra expenses left for educational based needs. Basically the extras was to go to paying for things I needed for class. At first I thought I would be getting something and from what I calculated I found out that there would also be enough money left to get myself something for Christmas.

Its been a long time since I got something new for Christmas. The last time I got something new for Christmas was back in 2007, but that got ruined, by my mom yelling at me the whole drive back home from the gamestop. She was yelling at me because I got myself a Christmas present and she didn't really want me to. I won't lie money was tight, but I felt like I deserved something for my trouble that year. (Pretty that year we became homeless a couple of days after my 16th birthday, quite often we had to sleep in our car and in and out of hotels and motels... *sighs* Its a long story, but I'll save that for another day.)

Christmas has always been the main pay out day for me in the year. I call it a pay out day, because no matter how bad or rough my year was I always had christmas day to look forward too. And even though I always know that most likely I won't get anything for christmas I still wait hopeful and waiting and wishing for something nice for christmas.

This year I'm supposed to be getting a Nintendo 3DS to replace my DS Lite that was sold a few years ago. I really like the pearl pink 3DS. Its release surprised me though, since Nintendo of America made it almost sound like we wouldn't be getting a pink 3DS like Japan, Europe and Australia. Well, at the least it sounded like it wouldn't be coming out until next year. But, they made it into a limited edition bundle. I don't know if they plan on selling it separately later on, but this limited edition business worries me.

I know there are other colors of the 3DS, but DS Lite and GBA SP were red so I'm tired of red, the black looks too plain and the blue is too common. The up-coming white 3DS is too plain to me too and the rumored up-coming limited edition greed 3DS is not my cup of tea. I know I'm being too picky, but I really do like pink. Plus I can vision myself playing Senran Kagura: Portrait of Girls and Tales of the Abyss on it and it looks great. (I know senran kagura is not official, but I got a strong feeling it'll be localized.)

Anyways, since I'm not getting anything from financial aid and I don't have a job (job searching has been hard) I have no clue how I'm going to get the money to afford it and some games. I have an old used PS2 I can get a little money for and I can trade-in my ps2 games in for store credit, but from what I found out there's only $40. I still need quite a bit more.

Nintendo 3DS Wish List:
  • Nintendo 3DS Pearl Pink with nintendogs + cats French Bulldog & New Friends $169.99 ♥
  • Harvest Moon: The Tale of Two Towns (Still not sure because of glitch.) $39.99
  • Sonic Generations $39.99
  • (Not a 3DS Game) Pokemon Silver $39.99
  • (Not a 3DS Game) Pokemon Black $34.99
  • (Not a 3DS Game) The World Ends With You $19.99
  • (Coming Out 2/14/12) Tales of the Abyss $39.99 ♥
  • (TBA) Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (Price Unkown)
  • (TBA) New Love Plus (Price Unknown) ♥
  • (TBA) Senran Kagura (Price Unknown) ♥
  • (TBA) Beyond the Labyrinth (Price Unknown)
So far I'm only planning on getting 2 games at a time. ^^; *sighs* And please no one suggest craigslist or say "get a job" because around here someone has been using craigslist to isolate and mug people and I search for work on a daily basis.

Abscess

A long time ago when I was in the 1st grade I broke one of my permanent teeth when I fell while playing dodge ball. The pain was horrible and because I was in so much pain I didn't notice while I was walking home that I lost the half of my tooth that broke off. Well, that period was the first time I had gotten an abscess and a root canal.

Here I am 13 years later with another abscess in the same tooth and needing another root canal. Either my tolerance for pain increased over the years or something since this abscess hasn't been anywhere near as painful. But, regardless its painful enough to cause me to lose a lot of sleep...

And I'm worried hoping that they won't need to pull the tooth since its one of my teeth right up in the very front. D:

Points 2 Shop

A few days ago I found this site called Points2Shop. Basically its a free GPT (Get-Paid-To) site. I know, I know... we've all heard about these sites and usually they're just scams and rob people of their time by having them do a bunch a surveys and claiming that if people do them they'll get paid some serious cash or if they build up enough points they can enter into sweepstakes to win money or expensive products.

Points 2 Shop isn't like that though. It's legit a lot of the site's users have proven that at this link. Its free to register and when you register you don't need a credit card and you don't have to give out any personal information such as social security numbers, etc.

When you sign up you start off with 250 points ($2.50). These points are to use in the low cost rewards center where you can buy a cheap reward to use to verify your address. The item you buy will be sent to the address you ordered with. And once your address has been verified your rank will go up a level and this will unlock more features on the site that you can do to earn more points.
(Rank leveling happens a number of times, but each rank requires a different requirement to unlock. With each new rank though, you unlock more features that are only available by reaching specific ranks.)

Points 2 Shop has a number of ways for you to earn points and cash. You can complete offers and surveys, watch videos, enter into events such as lotteries, games, team competitions with other members of P2S's online community, you can also complete tasks to receive cash. You can then have the cash sent to your paypal account or a check sent to you.

Currently on P2S you can exchange cash to points, but not vice versa. This sounds like a downside, but isn't. That is because you can use your points toward the rewards center that is connected to amazon.com. There you can order game consoles, computers, gift cards, toys, clothes, phones, cameras, etc. (I even seen a 5lb bag of gummy bears for sale.)

Because the effort one must put forth to gain points (a person can gain $100+ per month) it is technically not free. But, ages 13+ can use the site to get products that they want. Currently I'm working toward getting a new game console.

The community on P2S is actually pretty decent and the people tend to get along quite well and sometimes give beginners/new users tips and/or advice.

If you're interested in signing up please click on one of the links posted in this post either at the top or here.

Welcome and Hello! ^^

Welcome to my blog. My blog is basically about random things. One day I could be speaking about my everyday life, another anime and manga, video games, computers, sales, etc. At some point when I get a better computer and a better webcam I might start to even do video blogging (if I can ever get over my camera shyness). Anyways, I'll try to post as often as I can.
